Made to sit alongside the rehab and treatment your medical team is already providing.
The part nobody prepares you for
In 2012 I had a stroke at 37. A month later I had a second bleed. Two years after that, a third — that one needed brain surgery.
Between them came the medications, the MRIs, the neuropsychological evaluations and the rehab appointments that never seemed to end.
Here’s what I remember most clearly: recovery felt like something being done to me. I had no control over it. And nobody offered any advice about the helplessness — only about the arm, the leg, the speech.
What surprised me most was how few support services there were. Not for me as the patient. Not for my wife as my carer.
So I started reading, testing, and changing things myself. Food first, then yoga, meditation and visualisation. My energy lifted. My mental clarity came back. I felt less anxious and more like I was steering.
Today I’m back at work full time, I’m no longer taking medication, and my physical health is better than it has ever been.
I’m not a doctor. That’s rather the point.
Your neurologist knows more about your brain than I ever will. What they can’t tell you is what it’s like to be six months in, physically cleared, and still not functioning — because they haven’t been.
I have. And since then I’ve recorded hundreds of conversations with other survivors for the Recovery After Stroke podcast, which means I’ve heard what worked for people whose strokes looked nothing like mine.
These four courses are that: what I changed, what the evidence supports, and what I’ve watched work for other people.
How it works
1. Get instant access. One payment, four courses, no subscription. They land in your inbox straight away.
2. Start wherever you’re stuck. Most people begin with fatigue, because it’s the thing that blocks everything else. There’s no set order and no schedule.
3. Go at whatever pace your energy allows. Twenty minutes a fortnight is a perfectly reasonable rate. Nothing expires.

- Presented by a stroke survivor, for stroke survivors
What these courses are not
They’re not a replacement for your rehab team, your neurologist or your GP. They’re built to sit alongside all of that.
They’re not a cure, and they won’t promise you a recovery timeline. Anyone selling you one is guessing.
They’re not a live program. There’s no cohort, no calls, no schedule to keep up with.
If the timing isn’t right, that’s a real answer
Recovery has enough obligations in it already. If this isn’t the week, don’t buy it.
If it is, everything’s below.
